DESCRIPTION:
This code sets when the motor control module (MCM) detects high oil temperature.

Engine oil temperature sensor.

Always enabled

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Always enabled

TYPICAL DURATION:
Two seconds

DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL

ENGINE REACTION:
None

VERIFICATION:
Run the engine at 1200 rpm until coolant temperature reaches 49°C (120°F).

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Low oil level.
2. Cooling system leaks.
3. Engine fan failure.
4. Coolant thermostat failure.
5. Engine oil temperature sensor failure.
6. Engine oil temperature sensor connector/harness.
