Volvo All Engines (2013 Emissions) Fault Code: P226D00 PID: EMS Particulate Filter Deteriorated/Missing Substrate Bank 1

The function identifies and indicates malfunction of the aftertreatment diesel particulate filter (DPF) by analyzing the pressure drop over the aftertreatment DPF. This is done by making a check for deviation between sensor value and a model pressure drop. In some extreme cases the engine will derate.

Conditions for diagnostic trouble code (DTC):
1) Exhaust Aftertreatment System temperature out of range

Probable cause
1) Wiring harness
2) Exhaust leakage
3) Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor
4) Diesel particulate filter (DPF)
