Isuzu 4HK1 (Tier 3) Fault Code P0206

Fault Code P0206 Open circuit in injection nozzle #6 drive system

Item To Be Detected:
Open/short circuit in electrical wiring No. 6 cylinder injector.

Preconditons When DTC is Set:
1) Main relay power supply voltage is 18V or more.
2) 70rpm or more.
3) DTC P0612, P1262 or P0206 is not detected.

DTC Set Condition:
No injector 6 monitor input signal exists.

Fault Judgement Period:
Approx. 2.4 sec.

Behavior When Trouble Occurs:
1) Intensive engine vibration, rough idling, output lowering, blow up fault.
2) Back-up: injection for cylinder #6 stopped EGR stopped.

Diagnosis Lamp: ON

Recovery From Failure: *1

Possible Causes:
1) Resistance more or less than specified value between coupling connector terminals.
2) Open circuit or high resistance between coupling connector and ECM.
3) Looseness in the injector terminal nut.
4) Looseness or play in the connection of the coupling connector.
5) Open circuit or high resistance between injector terminal and coupling connector.
6) Looseness or play in the connection of the ECM connector.
7) Bad No. 6 cylinder injector.
8) Bad ECM.
