CAT 3406E (Prefix 1MM or 2WS) Fault Code: 58 PID: SPN: 231 FMI: 2 J1939 Data Incorrect

The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following condition:

•The parameter "Powertrain Data Link" must be programmed to J1939.
•The ECM is unsuccessful in receiving a specific message from a device or
•The device is broadcasting a fault code or
•The device is broadcasting a code that is not supported.

Probable Causes:

1) ECM Connection/Harness
2) An ECM on the vehicle has failed or is sending improper data (Can be for anything - Cab, ABS, etc...)
