Detroit DD13 EPA07 (2007-09) Fault Code: SPN 3246 FMI 14 (MCM) Diesel Particulate Filter Temperature Rise
NOTE: If any other codes are active fix those first.
PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. DPF outlet temperature sensor.
2. DPF outlet temperature sensor connector/harness.
3. Failed injector/cylinder on one of the cylinders.
4. Failed DOC.
5. Failed DOC sensor.
6. Remove the Aftertreatment Device (DPF) and inspect for signs of soot. If present, find source (charge air cooler, EGR valve, turbocharger, intake throttle valve, exhaust pipe leaks, delta P sensor failure).
7. Failed DPF.
