Isuzu 4HK1 (Tier 3) Fault Code P0090 PID 247 SCV drive system open circuit, +B short or ground short

Item To Be Detected:
Open/short circuit of SCV/harness

Preconditons When DTC is Set:
1) Main relay power supply voltage is 18V or more.
2) DTC P1630 is not detected.
3) SCV drive duty is between 10 - 90%.

DTC Set Condition:
When SCV drive current exceeds specified value for 2 seconds or more, or when difference between target and actual current exceeds specified value for 2 seconds or more.

Fault Judgement Period:
Approx. 2 sec.

Behavior When Trouble Occurs:
1) Engine stall and/or engine blow up are possible depending on the condition of open/short circuit. Black smoke emitted, excessive output
2) Back-up: Limited injection amount 3 (multiinjection stopped) Target RP upper limit (80 MPa {11603 psi})

Diagnosis Lamp: ON

Recovery From Failure: *2

Possible Causes:
1) Short circuit, open circuit, or high resistance to ground between SCV and ECM using breaker box or DDM.
2) Short circuit between terminals between SCV and ECM using breaker box DDM.
2) Short circuit to power supply or ignition power supply circuit.
3) Short circuit to other signal circuit.
4) Bad ECM.
