Fault Code P0182 Fuel temperature sensor fault (low voltage fault)

Item To Be Detected:
Short circuit in sensor or harness

Preconditons When DTC is Set:
1) Key switch input voltage is 18V or more.
2) DTC P1630 or P1633 is not detected.

DTC Set Condition:
Combustion temperature sensor voltage is less than 0.1 V.

Fault Judgement Period:
Approx. 4 sec.

Behavior When Trouble Occurs:
1) Operationality is affected.
2) Back-up: Specified back-up value (depending on the machine manufacturer)

Diagnosis Lamp: ON

Recovery From Failure: *2

Possible Causes:
1) Fuel temperature sensor more or less than specified value.
2) Looseness or play between the ECM and coupling connecctor connection.
3) Short circuit to FT snesor ground circuit.
4) Short circuit to ground.
5) Bad supply pump (FT sensor).
6) Bad ECM.
7) Fuel temperature display showing error value.
