Isuzu 4HK1 (Tier 3) Fault Code P0201

Fault Code P0201 Open circuit in injection nozzle #1 drive system

Item To Be Detected:
Open/short circuit in electrical wiring No. 1 cylinder injector

Preconditons When DTC is Set:
1) Main relay power supply voltage is 18V or more.
2) 70 rpm or more
3) DTC P0611, P1261, or P0201 is not detected.

DTC Set Condition:
No injector 1 monitor input signal exists.

Fault Judgement Period:
Approx. 2.4 sec.

Behavior When Trouble Occurs:
1) Intense engine vibration, rough idling, output lowering, blow up fault, output lowering.
2) Back-up: Injection for cylinder #1 stopped, EGR stopped.

Diagnosis Lamp: ON

Recovery From Failure: *1

Possible Causes:
1) Resistance less than specified value.
2) Open circuit or high resistance between ECM and coupling connector.
3) Looseness in injector terminal nut.
4) Looseness or play in the connection of coupling connector.
5) Open circuit or high resistance between injector terminal and coupling connector.
6) Looseness in connection of the ECM connector.
7) Bad No. 1 cylinder injector.
8) Bad ECM.
