Isuzu 4HK1 (Tier 3) Fault Code P0202

Fault Code P0202 Open circuit in injection nozzle #2 drive system

Item To Be Detected:
Open/short circuit in electrical wiring No. 2 cylinder injector.

Preconditons When DTC is Set:
1) Main relay power supply voltage is 18V or more.
2) 70 rpm or more.
3) DTC P0611, P1261 or P0202 is not detected.

DTC Set Condition:
No injector 2 monitor input signal exists.

Fault Judgement Period:
Approx. 2.4 sec.

Behavior When Trouble Occurs:
1) Intensive engine vibration, rough idling, output lowering, blow up fault.
2) Back-up: Injection for cylinder #2 stopped, EGR stopped.

Diagnosis Lamp: ON

Recovery From Failure: *1

Possible Causes:
1) Resistance less than specified on coupling connector terminals.
2) Open circuit or high resistance between ECM and coupling connector.
3) Looseness in the injector terminal nut.
4) Looseness or play in connection of coupling connector.
5) Open circuit or high resistance between injector terminal and coupling connector.
6) Looseness or play in connection of ECM connector.
7) Bad No. 2 cylinder injector.
8) Bad ECM.
