Isuzu 4HK1 (Tier 3) Fault Code P0335
Fault Code P0335 Crank sensor fault (no signal)
Item To Be Detected:
Open circuit in sensor/ wiring
Preconditons When DTC is Set:
1) CMP sensor pulse is normal.
2) DTC P0335, P0336, P0340, P0341 or P1345 is not detected.
3) Engine is running.
DTC Set Condition:
Cam signal exists but no crank signal.
Fault Judgement Period:
When trouble occurs 14 out of 21 samples.
Behavior When Trouble Occurs:
1) Output lowering, white smoke emission, intense engine vibration possible
2) Engine stall possible (restart is possible when cam sensor is normal.)
3) Back-up: Control based on cam when cam sensor is normal
Diagnosis Lamp: ON
Recovery From Failure: *1
Possible Causes:
1) Looseness or play in the crankshaft position sensor.
2) Looseness or play in the connection of the ECM and coupling connector.
3) Resistance between sensor connector terminals not within specified value.
4) Open circuit or high resistance between ECM and CKP sensor.
5) Short circuit to ground.
6) Short circuit between terminals.
7) Short circuit to power supply circuit or ignition power supply circuit.
8) Bad CKP sensor.
9) Bad ECM.
