Fault Code P0087 No pump pressure feed (fuel leakage)

Item To Be Detected:
Common rail pressure does not increase to the required area.

Preconditons When DTC is Set:
1) 900 rpm or more

DTC Set Condition:
Actual rail pressure is 15 Mpa (2,176 psi) or less.

Fault Judgement Period:
3 seconds

Behavior When Trouble Occurs:
1) Intense engine vibration, rough idling, output lowering, blow up fault, black smoke emitted, and excessive output are possible.
2) Back-up: Limited injection amount 3 (multiinjection stopped) Target RP upper limit (80 MPa {11603 psi})

Diagnosis Lamp: ON

Recovery From Failure: *1

Possible Causes:
1) Looseness in the high pressure and low pressure pipe - possible fuel leakage, crush or clogging
2) Freeze or waxing inside of the fuel tank, fuel pipe & fuel filter (at cold temperature)
3) Clogging of foreign matter inside feed pipe.
4) Abnormal fuel discharge
5) Bad rail fuel pressure sensor
6) Short circuit between the common rail fuel pressure sensor and ECM
7) Rise of fuel level in the oil level gauge or light oil odor
8) Oil leakage in the fuel pipe of injectors
9) Bad ECM
10) Abnormal fuel discharge on the upstream side of the supply pump
