Isuzu 4HK1 (Tier 3) Fault Code P0112

Fault Code P0112 PID 22 Intake air temperature sensor fault (low voltage fault)

Item To Be Detected:
Short circuit in sensor or harness

Preconditons When DTC is Set:
1) Key switch input voltage is 18V or more.
2) DTC P1630 or P1632 is not detected.

DTC Set Condition:
Intake air temperature sensor voltage is less than 0.1 V.

Fault Judgement Period:
Approx. 4 sec.

Behavior When Trouble Occurs:
Not in particular Back-up: Specified back-up value (depending on the machine manufacturer)

Diagnosis Lamp: ON

Recovery From Failure: *2

Possible Causes:
1) Looseness or play in the ECM coupling connector connection.
2) Intake air temperature sensor more or less than specified value.
3) Short circuit to IAT sensor ground ciruit.
4) Short circuit to ground.
5) IAT sensor needs replacing.
6) Bad ECM.
7) Intake air temperature shows error value.
